Beat Streuli / Raymond Bellour
Titre : Beat Streuli : Public Works 1996-2011 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Raymond Bellour, Auteur ; Roberta Valtorta, Auteur ; Jonathan Watkins, Auteur Editeur : Zurich : JRP Ringier Année de publication : 2012 Importance : 158 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-03764-206-1 Langues : Anglais (eng) Résumé : Swiss artist Beat Streuli (*1957) takes the urban environment and its inhabitants as the central motif of his work. His photographs are neither documentary nor conceptual: rather they lead us to a form of aesthetics that one could describe as the "glamour of the usual."
This monograph is a survey of his oeuvre of the last 15 years, which includes billboards and large-scale window installations on the facades of public buildings, and a selection of his installations of slide and video projections. Streuli by Streuli: an extensive image sequence mostly taken by the artist himself documents Streuli's rejection of the classic museum exhibition context. Instead he takes the photographs back to their place of origin—public space.Intitulé de l'exposition : Beat STreuli: Public Works 1996-2011 Date de début : 22/04/2012 Date de fin : 04/02/2013 Ville : Cinisello Balsamo (Italie) / Birmingham (Angleterre) Lieu de l'exposition : Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea / Ikon Gallery En ligne : http://www.lespressesdureel.com/ouvrage.php?id=2445 Permalink : https://grandhornu.docressources.org/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9983 Beat Streuli : Public Works 1996-2011 [texte imprimé] / Raymond Bellour, Auteur ; Roberta Valtorta, Auteur ; Jonathan Watkins, Auteur . - Zurich : JRP Ringier, 2012 . - 158 p.

Titre : Tony Oursler Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Raymond Bellour ; Tony Conrad ; Constance Dejong, Collaborateur ; Elizabeth Janus, Editeur scientifique ; Gloria Moure, Editeur scientifique ; Dan Graham (1942-....), Personne interviewée ; Mike Kelley, Personne interviewée Editeur : Barcelona : Ed. Polígrafa Année de publication : 2001 Collection : 20_21 Collection Importance : 359 p. Présentation : ill. en noir et en coul. Format : 27 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-84-343-0920-3 Note générale : Biogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Oursler, Tony , Vidéo Résumé : During the course of the past thirty years, video art has blossomed well beyond the expectations of its early practioners and theorists. Born as a critique of television and a medium at odds with traditional pictorial forms, at its inception video was filled with an utopian promise that lead artists to belive in a true democratization of art. Today it has reached a pinnacle of technical sophistication and aesthetic importance that was only dreamed of in the 1960s when the accessibility of the Portapak camera seemed to allow limitless creative possibilities. Tony Oursler stands as a major figure within the evolution of the medium, poised at the crucial turning point when the television monitor could no longer contain video's still developing potential. With a keen understanding of its technical intricacies, as well as its limitations as a time-based form, Oursler began to paint in moving images a broad picture of how visual technologies influence -even modify- our social and psychological selves.
